An animated visualizer directed by Sabrina Nichols, using imagery by the Radiohead artist Stanley Donwood, was released alongside on 3 April 2022.[1][2] Mxdwn.com writer Lauren Floyd called the video "cinematic", saying it features "dramatically elongated and drawn out shapes and figures ... parallel to Yorke's airy falsetto".[3]

On July 20, 2022, the scene from the series finale of the British television series Peaky Blinders that used "Pana-vision" in full three months earlier was uploaded as a separate live-action music video for the song. The music video was directed by series director Anthony Byrne.[4]

"Pana-vision" received favourable reviews. Tyler Golsen of Far Out Magazine gave it 7.2 out of 10, calling it the Smile's most "nebulous track" so far, and likened it to Jonny Greenwood's film scores.[5] Loudwire said its "cinematic" title fit its "picturesque piano-driven exploration".[6] The Uproxx writer Adrian Spinelli called the song "decidedly sinister" and said the piano "challenges your mind to understand how the song is supposed to make you feel".[7] Cleber Facchi of Msica Instntanea compared the song favourably to Radiohead's 2016 album A Moon Shaped Pool.[8]

"Pana" is a song recorded by Nigerian singer-songwriter Tekno,[1] which was released in July 22, 2016, by Made Men Music Group, it was written by Tekno and produced by Krizbeatz.[2] The song received mostly positive reviews from music critics[3][4] and tops the MTV Base's hottest track of 2016 at number 2,[5][6] it also debuted at the top 10 Soundcity TV count down.[7]

Krizbeatz revealed that the beat produced for "Pana" was not originally for Tekno.[10] The song is characterized as an Afropop song with elements of R&B.OkayAfrica included the song in the 10 Best Nigerian Songs of 2016 and describe it as a slow soother, much like "Duro" and "Diana"[11]

The song became a continental hit[12] and was the second most searched Nigerian song on Google in 2016.[13][14] It also charted at number one on Apple Music in several countries including Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana[15] and it went on to become Tekno's most popular record with over 50 million Spotify streams as of April 2022.[16]

The music video was released on 22 August 2016, directed by Clarence Peters. It became the third music video by a Nigerian artiste to surpass the 100 million views milestone on Youtube,[17] and the top five most viewed Nigerian music video of all time[18] as of 2021.

Jumanne Ramadhani Zegge a.k.a. Bamba Pana is one of the core producers, alongside Jay Mitta and Sisso himself, of the Sisso studio - a central hub for MCs and producers of the Singeli scene in the Mburahati ghetto on the outskirts of Dar Es Salaam. Along with his peers, Bamba Pana uses a laptop and software to update the local, usually acoustic and instrumental style of Singeli, computerizing its hyper rhythms and zinging melodies for the needs of younger, contemporary crowds in an upfront, direct way that has translated far beyond its East African roots.

Singeli is one of the more interesting developments in electronic dance music over the last 10 to 15 years. Originating in the mid 2000s in Zaramo neighborhoods in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, it has since exploded in popularity across east africa's great lakes region. Musically its based on very fast taraab music, popular in tanzania since the 20s, with a contemporary twist. As Anke Van der Stockt writes in their anthropological analysis of Singeli music (extended quote but wow, worth reading):

After this breakthrough on the street, the genre spread throughout Dar es Salaam and eventually the wider region. Nyege Nyege tapes, out of Kampala, Uganda is one of the major releasers of this. When people think of African music the first stuff that comes to many's mind is afrobeat and afropop stuff, mostly west african, from the 70s and 80s. this stuff is incredible, but its far far far from the most recent exciting thing to come out of the continent. Incredibly fast electronic dance music is generally not what people associate with east africa, but oh is it widespread. Singeli videos on youtube will rack up 500k to 1 million plays, complete with most comments in swahili. Its also influenced electronic producers outside of africa, with even italian ambient artist caterina barbieri calling on Jay Mitta for a remix of her distinctly not singeli song Fantas

The Smile, a newly formed band comprised of Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood with Sons of Kemet's Tom Skinner, has shared a new song. It's called "Pana-vision." The song was featured in the series finale of Peaky Blinders which aired last night. Check out the video below, which was animated by Sabrina Nichols.

The Smile debuted last year with a surprise performance at Glastonbury. So far, the band has shared three singles. At the top of the year, they shared their debut single "You'll Never Work In Television Again" and followed it up later that month with "The Smoke." Last month, the supergroup shared their third single, "Skrting On The Surface." They have not yet announced an album.

The band seems to be in love with Romania. The leading singer Storm Large speak and sings in 14 languages, but she believes Romanian is the most beautiful language she ever heard. Listen to the song below, and read the lyrics in Romanian.

Hey guys! Today I'm releasing a toki pona song "Futile Attempt of Killing Mosquito" along with an animation. I've spent 8 days and nights on this piece of music and its animation! It's also my first serious animation project in my life!

This music came from Global Game Jam 2018. I decided to be a musical guy for the event. So I've made quite a few pieces of music as a practice. That's because we're required to get the work done within 48 hours in the event. So I have to get familiar with the tools. A few months after the event, I found that I love one of those musical segment particularly. Then I elaborate this part and enhance it and I've made an animation for it. And here we have this musical animation.

Unlike my previous music, this time I'm providing source files of music publicly and direct download link to a few variants of its animation. That makes remixing and editing the music and animation much easier compared with my previous works!

If you want to do vocal swap, first, download the resource "Music" or "Vocal Assist". While playing any of these, sing along and record what you're singing. Then download "Instrumental Music" and align your recording to the Instrumental Music track with software like Audacity. Then you've got your voice into this piece of music.

If you want to modify the subtitles of the vid, download the resource "Animation without English Subtitles" and "SubStation Alpha English subtitles". Modify the resource "SubStation Alpha English subtitles" with software like Aegisub. With FFMPEG, you can combine the subtitles and the video. Then you get a video with subtitles in another language.

There're two ways to do remix. The first way is to use LMMS to remix the music. Download the resource "LMMS Music Project Source File". Follow the instruction in the file and download "Vocal (for LMMS)". Then you can modify the music right inside LMMS.

Another way is to use other audio tools. After downloading the resources "Music", "Instrumental Music" and "Vocal", you can do operation on the audio to remix it. For example, one can add some drum and stuffs to it, or add some effects to it like adding filters or reverb effect or pitch change or something like that. Just do whatever you want with them!

It's Toki Pona. It's a minimalist, constructed language invented by jan Sonja. The entire language is made of 123 words! It's rather easy to get fluent on it. I learned this language like two or three months ago. It took me like a month to learn it.

Long time ago I've attempted learning another constructed language Esperanto. I didn't have much success. Mainly because it really takes a bit of time to learn those vocabularies. I had to look up the dictionary from time to time. But Toki Pona's different. Once I learn all those 123 words, it isn't that difficult to understand any Toki Pona text and conversations. Even if I don't completely understand it, at least I'd have an idea on what it's about because I understand every single word. It's just that I don't understand the combination of words.
