| Becoming a champion for Syrian youth | The Rotary Peace Fellowship at Uppsala University in Sweden was a turning point for Muyi Yang’s work. Through the fellowship and his involvement in the Rotary Peace Fellowship Alumni Association, Yang was inspired by peace fellow Anne Kjær Bathel’s work with marginalized communities. The two of them collaborated on a project to help homeless children in Syria. Yang also received advice and support from Rotarians, which led to the launch of the Champion School, a nonprofit for Syrian children. |
