Fishingshorts by AFTCO. In 1989, AFTCO introduced the first pair of men's fishing shorts. There are two main AFTCO Fishing Shorts categories. The first is our line of traditional fishing shorts, the cornerstone of this category being the M01 Original Saltwater Fishing Short that was mentioned above. All shorts in our traditional shorts category are built to be worn around, near and in the water. They are a compromise between your standard swimsuit fabric and a typical walkshort, with belt loops, side seam pockets and quick dry fabrics.

As styles have progressed, so have our products. In 2011, AFTCO re-launched our second major category of shorts, saltwater fishing boardshorts. Our 0-20 size range is based on a B cup bust with an average height of 5'-6". Please note that B cup does not refer to bra sizing, but rather the difference in inches between high and full bust. A 2" difference between those measurements is equivalent to a B cup (a difference of 1"= A cup, 2" = B cup, 3" = C cup etc.) If the difference between your high bust and full bust is higher than 2", you may need to make a full bust adjustment for select patterns.

Our 14-32 size range is based on a D cup bust and pear-shaped lower body with an average height of 5'-6". Please note that D cup does not refer to bra sizing, but rather the difference in inches between high and full bust; a 4" difference between those measurements is equivalent to a D cup (a difference of 1"= A cup, 2" = B cup, 3" = C cup etc.). If the difference between your high bust and full bust is greater than 4", you may need to make a full bust adjustment for select patterns. If the difference is smaller, you may need to make a small bust adjustment.

While there are a few overlapping sizes in the 0-20 and 14-32 size range, please note that body measurements are not the same. If you've made our patterns before, you may find you are a different size in the extended range, so it is really important you choose a size based on your actual measurements rather than what you may have chosen in the past.

Since there is some overlap between our two size ranges, you may be wondering which one to choose. The main difference between the two size ranges is that the 14-32 range is drafted for larger busts with a more pear-shaped lower body. If you fall in one of the overlapping sizes, we suggest determining your cup size first by measuring your full bust and high bust and subtracting one from the other. Each inch difference equals one cup size. If you are a D cup or larger, our 14-32 range will ensure the best fit through the bust. If you are an A/B/C cup through the bust and less pear-shaped, the 0-20 range will be the best option.

We firmly believe that anyone can sew anything with patience and perseverance, but sometimes it helps to understand how time-consuming or challenging a pattern will be to sew. Here's how we rate the difficulty of our patterns:

All of our patterns come in a Letter/A4 format (for printing on a home printer) and 36"x48"/A0 format (for printing at a copyshop). Some patterns also come in a projector format. Please check the INFO+ tab under the description to see page counts and file formats available.

Customers based in the EU and UK will also be charged VAT on all goods. Regulations have changed in recent years requiring VAT to be collected based on where the customer resides (and not where the company is located) so we are legally required to collect and remit VAT even though our company is based in Canada. For AUD, GBP, and EUR currencies, the price you'll see is linked to the daily exchange rate between USD and your currency, which means prices may fluctuate. For our Canadian customers, we have established set prices that will not vary with exchange rates.

International customers: Estimated delivery dates are listed below the shipping price when you checkout. We have two possible services. International First Class is for packages under 2 kilos and takes approx 10-40 days to arrive depending on your location. International Priority is a bit faster and should arrive at your destination in approx 8-20 days. Both services include tracking for *most* destinations.

Given the huge volume of mail and the challenges that the pandemic, holiday season, and environmental conditions impose on the performance of the mail service, we ask you to please be patient with the delivery of your packages, and get in touch after 3 weeks for Canadian and US shipments, and 6 weeks for international shipments.

For physical goods: We grant refunds for physical items like print patterns and kits if they are returned to us in sellable and unopened condition within 30 days of purchase. Please contact us prior to shipping back your order to make sure you are eligible for a refund.

For digital goods: We cannot issue refunds on digital goods like PDF patterns and courses if they have been downloaded or watched. If you have not downloaded your file and would like a refund, please contact us.

I had a fu. Morning tracing off the pattern for b. I haven't had time yet to SEW the trousers because I have two pieces of fabric and can 't decide which to make first. I'll certainly be purchasing more patterns in the future! I also downloaded your fitting guide, very useful as I am a funny shape - short legs and a large derriere.
