I'd like to release 2.7.0.2 around the 20th which is in about a week
from now. So, the decision is whether to release what is already in the
trunk, or promote dev into trunk at some point in the next few days.

I'm happy with how mux_string is settling out, but we need to decide
whether to release that in the next alpha or in a later one?
