I have tried creating:
~/.config/autostart/whatever

With this contents:

[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Encoding=UTF-8
Version=1.0
Name=No Name
Name[en_US]=VNC Server
Comment[en_US]=VNC Server
Comment=VNC Server
Exec=x0vncserver -SecurityTypes=None
X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=true

Yet when I boot:
netstat -na |grep 59
ps -ef |grep x0vnc

Shows it not running.

Any suggestions?
TIA.

That only works if you're using Gnome Session. You need to edit ~/.config/openbox/autostart.sh.
