Hi everyone,
I've been fairly silent on these mailing lists for the last few months, but listening as usual. I'm really excited to let all of you know that several members of the myhomeyourhome project from last year (
http://www.myhomeyourhome.tk) will be taking a class this term in which we design and build a tiny home.
We're really excited to get started, but one of the aspects of the research that we would like to implement is working with a codesigner. This is a person who fits the target audience for our design, who can tell us about their lifestyle and who can discuss our design with us. We're especially interested in speaking to students, recent immigrants living alone or with one other person, and people over the age of 50 interested in tiny homes.
Codesign is a process of product design which is highly user centered. This means that we talk about the needs of a potential user of our product (a tiny home) and tailor the design to those needs. We would be absolutely thrilled to work with any one of you, so please get in contact with us if you're interested in working with some students and future designers.
Thanks and cheers,
Rachel
