USB-MIDI as host?

I'd like to have a go at getting a MIDI looper working with the Xiao RP2040 as the host.

The idea is that I'd use some of the lower keys on the music keyboard as the transport controls.

To do this I'd need the Xiao to act as the MIDI host, is this possible?
