TI-Nspire CAS only graphs "with" or "|" domain limits on single
functions, right? Not systems of equations, right?

I'm not sure I understand your question. you don't graph equations,
you graph functions. What do you mean by graphing systems of
equations? Plus, functions have only one variable and a system has at
least two...

Can you be a little bit more specific?

Cheers,
Nelson

You can limit the domain with a piecewise function. This can be found on the math template palette. Similarly in the catalog you can find the template for piecewise and it will give the verbal clue that it is piecewise.

e.g. piecewise(x,x<−2,x^(2),−2≤x<3,−x+9,x>4)
This is what it looks like if you copy it out of the software and into gmail.

And nicely looks perfect when copied and pasted back into the software from email.
Sorry, I was pleasantly surprised.

Yes, Nelson, you are right. I meant "function" where I carelessly said
"equation". Please take a look at my answer to Bird if you have time.
Thanks.

Sean, you're a genius. Thanks. And by the way, I would have had to
work to understood your message had you not included the example.
Thanks again for making it so easy. I still cannot get the template to
work (the images don't terminate), but it doesn't matter since I can
do the same thing your way.

Hi Sean,
That was very helpful to see how to do that (and set up other) piecewise functions, by copy/pasting yours back into the program.  Now when I look at the graph, why can I not move the label?  The hand is just a pointer.  When I create a "text" function, I can move it, but not when I create one in the function line.

Thanks
Ellen

By default the label isn't shown unless you hover over it with the pointer.
Try right-clicking (on the software) or pressing Ctrl+Menu (on the
handheld) and select Label. This will make the label always visible
and you can move it around.

Cheers,
Nelson

Hi Nelson,
Thanks, that is exactly what I needed to know.
I knew how to get the label to show, but couldn't get it to move.
