I am now getting this message on all .tns files which I attempt to download (i.e. files which are attached to messages on this group.)
I am using  Ver 3.0.1.1753 of the CAS Teacher Software on a Mac.

When I download, the file has a .html extension, and of course the CAS software doesn't open it.  Changing the extension to .tns still gives the "format not supported error".

Any help would be appreciated  - JL

if you're getting html files it's probably because your browser
doesn't handle tns files properly or the links are broken. If it's the
first option, right click on the file and select "save target as" or
whatever is the equivalent option on your browser. If the link is
broken... just click on it and see what the browser tells you.

Cheers,
Nelson

On the other hand, if you are already using the right-click/save as method and it's still giving an HTML file, it's possible that the way download is set up, you need to left-click which will load HTML that forwards the file link.

Basically, whichever method you're using, try the other. If it's still giving an HTML file, the link is likely broken. Here's one more test: the file you downloaded - turn it back into an HTML extension and open it in your browser. What does it say? (404?)

Thanks for your suggestions - it appears to be a problem with Safari, as I've just been able to download the same files using Firefox.
