i recorded a lesson using the navigator sys:under class capture, i
recorded 1 student's screen. then i try to put it under video in
publish view but cant upload the recordign at all...any idea? TY!

To my recollection...

In v3.1 Publishview only accepts .swf files whereas the Navigator
recording is .avi

Am I wrong?

There are a couple of sites where you can convert a video to .flv

zamzar.com is an online converter that I have used before to make a file ready for PublishView by converting it to flv.

Others have converted files from youtube using the website www.saveyoube.com - copy and paste the website of the video in their address bar and it saved the video on your computer as an .flv file
