I just upgrade my Nspire keypad, and when i put my TI-84 plus key pad
back on, the RAM was cleared!!! So i thought no big deal, i would
reput on my programs.....but it won't work!! I plug it into my
computer and use TI-connect and it has troubles, when i drop in a
file, it gives an error saying that it isn't connected properly, but
it definitely is. I need those programs, they help faster calculations
on tests.

Did you upgrade the Computer link software as well? You may also try to reinstall the drivers, that usually helps.

and it looks really interesting as ewll...a little bit different than
my old Ti-84+, in the y= area and the mode, they have some new
features.....probably the updates are giving TI-Connect
problems......i hope there must be some way around it? i need those
programs....

Try rebooting your computer. I had no problems putting my programs
back on. It could be your link.

I had some problems with antivirus software and windows defender
blocking communications between my PC and the 84.
You might look for a solutions in that direction.

IT's really weird....it says unable to communicate with calculator...i
rebooted, the link is all the way plugged in, it shows up, just when i
send something to it it rejects it

the antivirus doesn't seem to be the problem becuz i had the same ones
when i used to use it before the update

is there anyway to down grade? maybe 2.54 has a bug and 2.53 doesn't

yeah, i'll do that today, i emailed the support.....it's really
odd....is there anyway to downgrade to 2.53 or lower? 2.54 doesn't
seem to be working for me.....it's not even offered on the TI website

FYI, the MP versions are the "Math Print" versions of the OS -
displays fractions, etc. I believe 2.54MP is the 84/Nspire version,
and 2.53 is just for the straight 84. 1.19 is the latest of the
non-MP OSes.

You should be able to downgrade by sending the older OS to the calc in
the normal way...I don't think the 83/84 checked for version numbers,
did it? If you can't send the file, you can always connect it to an
84 and Send OS.

You cannot change the version of the TI84 faceplate when it is attached to an Npsire.  The OS for the 84 part is loaded as part of the TI-Nspire upgrade...  So when you went to Nspire 2.0, you automatically went to TI-84 2.54MP...  There is no-way (as far as I know) to install a different TI84 OS than the one embedded in the Npsire.

Cheers
Andy
