Problem in connectivity library

Greetings all,

 

I’m facing a problem while opening the TI-Nspire and Navigator software. Please helps.

 

I find this message:

 

“The TI Nspire software will not be able to communicate with the connected handheld because the connectivity library will not start. In order to communicate with connected handhelds with this TI-Nspire software, please try running this application again.”

 

And

 

“The application is unable to run because the connectivity library will not start, please try running this application again.”

 

Please HELP… Very urgent

Hi Bikash

Try rebooting your computer with the handheld attached, so that the drivers load on startup - this has worked sometimes for me with this problem.

If not, reinstall the driver or reinstall the Nspire computer link software.

Nothing working... Have tried un-installing and reinstalling it many a
times.

Tried installing Connect to class....No use

Tried installing all software alone... no use.

Tried installing in all possible order- no use
Tried copy-pasting those dll file from TI website- helpless...

Please help...

try manually updating the driver and manually uninstall/reinstall.
If that doesn't work, try contacting TI's support.

I wanted to add that I have had a similar problem witht he TI-Nspire
software. (I hope to some day have Navigator)
I have tried unistalling/installing the drivers and software. I
have also worked with TI- tech support. It now works sometimes, but
about 1/2 of the time I get the same error message mentioned.

Sorry that I don't have a solution, but maybe TI will notice that
this problem has not been resolved for some set-ups.

Greetings all!

It was the devil firewall that was the culprit & fantastic TI care who
solved my problem. I appreciate the pain and efforts by TI-care people
(especially Mr Matthijs) in order to resolve my problem. They have
been very kind and supportive during the entire process. I admire the
patience and the step by step process of TI-care. It was really a
wonderful experience. I shall, Obviously, send a big thank to Sir Dr.
Stephen Arnold for his wonderful help & facilitation (in between).

They said we're always welcome by them and they would appreciate if we
call them up for any kind of help. Wonderful!

PS: Better then the Best; They (TI-Care) called me up themselves just
by knowing the problem from this (google-group).

I have not solved this same problem on my laptop...Ti was not able to
get the computer link software to work. I have not updated on my
desktop for fear I will have the same problem. I would love to know
what the solution was. I spent many hours, days, and did all kinds of
removals, installs, sending info to ti but did not get the result of
getting the software to work.....What did you do about the firewall?

Hey Sheila,

We just went into the settings of Firewall and saw that the TI application were under *Block application list* category.

I change the settings and put TI application (along with JAVA aplet) under *Allowed/Trustworthy* Application list.

And Bingo...It works.

We did some other settings as well, but those were not the cause in my
case....but they can be cause in ur case....

Plz tell me if your problem doesnt get solved...will let you know
about other things as well..
