In my Algebra 1 class we are starting our linear equation unit.  I have been playing around with the graphing options in the new OS update...one thing I really have my students use is  in many graphing applications is the table that can be pulled up.  One thing though with graphing lines using standard form you can't pull a table...or not that I can find.....I have shown them other ways to get points (graph trace or by having the graph show the grid and just being able to visually pull points) but I am really bummed by the lack of table availability.  Am I missing something?

Isn't Ctrl-T on a graph bringing the values in a table ?

Not when you graph using the standard form format (menu 3,2,1,3)

After you have graphed a function, hit the Menu key and select 7:Table, then Split Screen Table (keyboard shortcut is Ctrl-T on a graph).  When you add the Table via the Menu or Ctrl-T, the Table side becomes the active pane in the split screen. Once you have a table in the split screen, you can hit Menu -> Table -> Edit Table Settings to change start, step and whether it is Auto or Ask (like the TI-84).  Note you must have the Table side of the split screen active to edit the Table Settings.

The table looks for FUNCTIONS, not EQUATIONS. As far as I can tell, the equations variables (e1, e2, …) are note readily available elsewhere.

Am I wrong again?

Yes, you are correct as far as I have understood it.  It won't pull up a table unless you enter as a function.

The way I prefer to bring up the table is to add a spreadsheet page and
do the <ctrl><t> is one cell. This way I can see more than one table
side-by-side to compare functions and I do not use a split screen on my
graphs...I want as much space as I can for view the graph and the
TI-Nspire screen is small.

<ctrl><t> only creates tables for active functions in a problem.

The person Lars Frederickson is nowhere to find. I've been trying to reach out to him since a long time ago. His email address isn't valid.

This library contains bugs which I want to report to the author.

Best,
Jim
