World cup data help

Hi everyone, I'm playing with world cup data.

I want to be able to have students select individual country to compare against others, say select the USA, Australia, Paraguay and Turkiye.

Rather than deleting data, is there a filter process I have forgotten? Help Appreciated. I will be up 3am tomorrow watching the Mighty Socceroos play the USA

Hi Jody,

Responding with a little delay here, but you probably needed a day or so to recover from a) getting up to watch at 3:00 am and then b) have it end in a loss.  They'll just have to go and beat Paraguay now. That match should be on at a more reasonable time for you.

Re: your data file. I can't think of a way to filter the data, nothing like macros in a spreadsheet to pull out certain sets of data.. I tried a little work-around with copying and pasting. Maybe you can set up your original file with another L&S and a D&S page and label the nine columns in the second L&S page with slightly different headers. Then the students can copy and paste the data from the main page into the new one and work in those pages. See my example with two countries.

Of course, that's probably something you've already though of anyway.

My most important question for you is, however, how in the world did you get all this data into the L&S page????  "Unpaid child labor?"   

Or did you just use AI to make on master file for you?

Paraguay was a lot better time to watch. Egypt with be a 2am viewing.

Used this prompt on Chat GPT

Can you combined all the player stats tables with these columns POS PLAYER NAME DOB CLUB HEIGHT (CM) CAPS GOALS and convert DOB to current age in years add a column with country name at the start and a column for world cup group name

The resulting csv cut and pasted nicely

I ended up with a lua script to handle the data presentation.

I attached my final tns file. Which has a link to the data source.

You can compare 4 statistics using 3 different methods, Table, dotplot and boxplot.
