Just a quick question to all the gurus out there...

Is there a quick way to enter subscripts in the software when using a computer keyboard?

For example, on a Graphs page, I would like to type log base 2 of x without using the Ctrl shortcut on the  Smartview keypad.  Many times I'm working in the Page Sorter view or Tools menu and don't want to change to the smart view keypad to have to use the Ctrl shortcut.

Is this possible?

Mark

Log(x,2) will work for your example, Mark.

What’s the ‘shortcut’ on the handheld? I thought you just select log from the keypad and you get the template… or is that what you mean?

That's what I meant, John.

I type mostly from a computer keyboard and don't want to have to switch to the smart view to use the keypad.

Thanks!!

Also…

I always use ‘pi’, ‘>=’, ‘:=’ (instead of ‘sto’), sqrt(), ‘theta’, ‘infinity’ and many more.

I guess there will always be some special chars like the degree symbol, i, and e (but you can use exp(1)).

Another source is the on-device ctrl+trig  Hints.  I have my students review these from time to time.
