And one more little treat which caught me by surprise (sorry if it has been covered already)…

Did you know that the CUBIC numbers are the sums of consecutive ODD numbers?

1^3 = 1

2^3 = 8 = 3 + 5

3^3 =27 = 7 + 9 + 11

4^3 =64 = 13 + 15 + 17 + 19

5^3 =125 = 21 + 23 + 25 + 27 + 29

Since we know that the sum of the first n consecutive odd numbers equals n^2, we have a nice proof for Nicomachus!
