Hello,

Do you use the units and conversions functionality on TI-Nspire CX II?

Do you have a suggestion for adding new physical units or conversions to the TI-Nspire CX II OS and software?

For example, we have had a request for adding these two units

* pressure constant for water potential = .0831 L bars/mole K (for use in AP Biology)

* micrograms

Are there others that you would use in your classroom?

If you have a suggestion, please send it to me and please include context about which subject/topic you would use it in.

Thanks,

- Harshal

My physics students and I have extensively enjoyed the unit conversion in the "catalog" or "utilities" or the little book button, then press 3.
I looked again to confirm that all of my constants are there. It looks good, but I would say that I would find it helpful/pleasant if the
Coulomb constant _Cc = 8.99E9 N*m^2/C^2 was in these units rather than a simplified meter/farad. When students first get to Coulomb's law
F= k *q1*q2/r^2
they have not learned of a farad. Also N*m^2/C^2 is the way the constant is given on the AP exam.

note k is often used for Coulomb's constant = 1/(4pi*epsilon naught)

Solution idea: Even if the m/F needs to continue, perhaps on the screen where the constant is found it could say N*m^2/C^2

That reminds me of the Euler Method program I made. I put the pronunciation guide at the bottom in the library by putting it in the first line of the program.
