For those wanting to get a bit more info on what is coming in 3.0 and the CX might like to have a look at these videos I found on the official TI youtube channel:

Just got off the phone with TI-Cares, and it appears that the Navigator and Software will NOT be out today :(

I also called and was simply told it was not yet released.  Thanks for saving me another phone call later.  So…given some of the issues in this group talking about the compatibility of navigator with 3.0 software, will it work to use my old navigator to update handhelds to 3.0 (when that releases as that's not yet up either)?  Is it worth it?

Hi, Kathleen,

I've been wondering the same thing. I think that Pam had mentioned
that we needed to update our handhelds to 3.0 first before we update
our Navigator systems. So hopefully it will work to update the
handhelds to 3.0 using the "old" version of Navigator? Anyone have
any thoughts on that?

Thanks!

Bob

I was successful in updating both the CAS and numeric with the old Navigator.
It went very smooth...just make sure you have fresh batteries in the hh.

It is downright enjoyable updating the OS with the Nspire Nav system. The little green lights blinking with glee.
If one isn't blinking, you know that one needs a little attention like new batteries or maybe just turn off and on.

Updated my 25 handhelds in about 5 minutes.  Used the Transfer Tool and it went like a charm!!  Kids really liked the new look...especially the dialog boxes that you have to press right for, and press down to move between.

Now...just have to get the software taken care of....
