Is ther a way to "password protect" a folder or file from being deleted off the handheld?  Unfortunately, I have had some students deleting other's files.  The only way I know how to prevent it is to collect their files with navigator at the end of the bell and redistribute them the next....is there any other way?

To my knowledge, there seems no way to lock a doc up by password. It's a good idea for the next OS release, anyway.

Best,
Jim

Actually if you create the document on the computer, you can go to file, document properties, and then protection, you can make a document read only

hope this helps

Jessica’s ‘read-only’ option does not protect the file from deletion, only ‘changes’!

I wish there were some form of classroom-use ‘security’ rather than rely on ‘classroom management’ to protect student work. Most uses of TI-Nspire is through class sets and having to trust teenagers to leave stuff alone is simply a stretch.
