To be accurate I want to know how to use synthetic on polynomials.
Example:
divide using synthetic division - (x^2-x+4) \ (x-2).
How would I get my calc to do that ?

Re: synthetic division

Try:

  Propfrac(<your rational expression>)

Example:

  Propfrac((x^2-x - 4)/(x-2))

Synthetic division is an invention to divide polynomials 'by hand'. WE don’t need it if we have a TI-Nspire CAS.

You’ll find propfrac() on the Number>fraction tools menu and the Algebra>fraction tools menu.
