How do my students use document player? The launch button doesn't seem to be working.

If you’re referring to the Launch buttons on my website…

I checked the top one and its working fine for me. A new window opens for the document player and it takes a moment for the player app to load, then the first page of the file appears. Use the scrollbar on the right to see subsequent pages.

I use Windows and Google Chrome. There may be an issue with Macs. Also, your security settings (both computer… firewall, etc., and browser… block popups, etc.) may affect the performance.

Caution about the document player: It does not respond to any keyboard actions, only mouse actions (left-click only… no right-click, but you can grab stuff and click on slider arrows). But there is a toolbar which lets you save the file to your computer (hence, no ‘download’ option for my files with a Launch button), open a file from your computer, print the file, and reset the file to its original state.

Hoping this is helpful,

I know it is still not running on Mac OS Lion but I thought it was OK in Windows, any browser.

Check that Flash is up to date and that the Firefox Flash plugin is installed.  It seems that the latest Flash auto update doesn't update/install the Firefox plugin.

What OS are you using?  It worked fine until I moved to Lion.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.4 (which I believe is Lion, but I always forget their names). I brought up a few Doc Player files from John Hannah's website just now to confirm.

I still don't get it. I exported my doc as a web page and I also created the HTML and saved to the clipboard. SO now what do I do with it??? and I still don't get how the red button is supposed to show up on my web page unless that is what the HTML code is doing).

The culprit could be my web server. It does not like many file types, but I have put examview tests out with very little problem.
