Are there any suggestions out there where videos can be downloaded easily and put into a PublishView document?

...or a possible way to convert an asx file?  Zamzar doesn't support it.

from http://www.mediacollege.com/video/format/windows-media/files/asx.html

An ASX file (Advanced Stream Redirector) is a special type of file which works closely with Windows Media ASF files.

  • The ASF file is the actual media file, containing video, audio, etc.
  • The ASX file is a metafile — a file which contains data about another file. In this case it is a simple text file containing a reference to an ASF file.

The purpose of an ASX file is to start the ASF file streaming.

From this I would say you will need to find a way to add your media file to the asf file created by PublishView, I do not believe it is possible at this time (question was asked at CAMT in a PublishView session)...I do not know if you can setup an HTML file to load both in different panes of a web page...it will need to be researched.

Most web browsers now (at least Firefox and Chrome) have extensions that can be added to allow such capabilities as downloading YouTube videos, etc.  Google search "YouTube Download Extension" and you will easily find one.  When this is installed and activated, you will be able to download any YouTube video in many possible formats...one of which is a Flash Video FLV.

I hope this helps.
