Hi all

Following requests from a few people, I have been taking some time to set down in (hopefully) clear and easy-to-follow steps, some instructions for some useful and commonly used advanced techniques. For some of you, there will be nothing new - for others, I hope this may prove a valuable resource.

If parts are not clear, then please let me know - although this all comes with a simple proviso: this stuff really should be done face-to-face, not read about!

Over the coming week or so, I intend to exchange some of the screen shots for video samples, that should make this even easier to follow.

Enjoy!

With best wishes,
Steve

Steve, you already have OS 1.7?!?!?!?! How did you get it? Also, can
you send it to me? BTW, if you can, I have the TI Nspire CAS. The
reason that I'm saying this is because in the part about text not
locking down, you mentioned something like "in versions prior to OS
1.7". If you do have access to 1.7, I would greatly appreciate you
sending the TI Nspire CAS OS 1.7 to me.

Hi Ross

Yes, I have 1.7 because I do some contract work for TI on a number of projects, but Sorry -  I can't give you the new release yet - but I am assured that it will be available for all within the next week or so.

I hope to have a summary of features in the next couple of days and will pass that on to the group.

I kinda expected that you wouldn't be able to share 1.7 with anybody
else. Its just that I get very anxious when I wait for new things,
such as a new OS or a new piece of hardware. Anyways, I don't know if
you can reveal this yet, but I have a question that I'm really hoping
you can answer. Does 1.7 finally add new IO commands to programming?
If it does, I can finally create some of the programs that i've been
wanting to. Its okay if you can't answer that question yet, but I
hope you can.

I will know tomorrow what I am allowed to announce Ross, so please wait a little longer - sorry.

Hmm... There seems to be something interesting going on here...
I wonder what it could be...
Could it be?
A newer version?
Is that possible?
I will never know until I find out...
