Hi,

Ever since I bought a class set of 30 new TI-Nspire CX CAS II calculators, at least once or twice a day, a student will come up to me and show me the calculator is frozen while on or it won't even turn on.  We just press the reset button on the back and it is fine.  It is not always the same calculators either.

Has anyone else had this issue?  While it is not a problem to rest it in general, I feel something might be wrong with just my set and it is also frustrating for the students who may be working on something, it freezes, and when we reset, the lose their data!  I am having them save things constantly during the bell, but this is annoying.

It usually happens with me when students want to use a CX CAS out of my dock.  I only have the CX CAS models with OS 4.5 on them, but it's always been an issue for me, and frequently it's the same 3 or 4 handhelds that just lock up.  I just reset it and start over.  I agree, it's frustrating.

It’s those tariffs!

Did you know?: Pressing ctrl-S in a document will easily save it. There will be a ‘Save as…’ dialog the first time but after that it’s all done in the background.

Press ctrl-S often,
