hhhmmm....
I can't seem to get color either for lines or fill.
I am only getting gray scales on my TSoftware.

Are you in presenter mode? The handheld mode does not have color.

While new function graphs come up automatically in color, other things need to be "colored".

Right-click on the object you want to color and down the bottom of the contextual menu you will see the Color menu.

Follow up, what are the pros of each View?

Handheld
emulate for class
teaching steps, process
screenshots for handout

Computer
color
bigger
can still drag
show this when all done?
printout?

The left hand view is the same as what a student sees on a handheld. It can
be made larger by sliding to slider to the bottom right hand corner of the
software. The other view gives more real estate work with especially in
Graphs and Geometry by the printing is smaller. It depends on what you are
doing at the time as to which I use.

I next had trouble filling a polygon on the handheld....the trick was
to select the polygon first...I found the answer with a search......
(I'm still acclimating to context menus)

it used to be under attributes (OS 1.7 and older) but now it's under
Color
on the context menu.
So, right click on the polygon (Ctrl+Menu on the handheld) and select
Color;
under Color you have Fill color and Line color.
Note that on the software you have several colors available that will
be
mapped to gray levels on the handheld. Be criterious with the choice
of
choice of colors because some colors are mapped to similar gray
levels.
