Hi all, I'm currently teaching IB HL math, and my students asked if the calc could calculate eigenvectors corresponding to a matrix eigenvalue/s. I'm having trouble though understanding how the calculator is doing this, and what is exactly showing me. Can someone please enlighten me? For this question the eigenvectors should be (10/7  1) and (-1  1), clearly the ratios are correct, but where does this 1/root(2) multiple come from?

You should probably show the contents of  variable a, too.

The eGuide states (see ‘normalized’):

Do good,
