I had the same issue and resolved it by changing the featured image in the media settings to be a png of the background colour of my site. (in my case a 2560 x 1440 png of #fafafa) This way it looks as if there is no image there and it doesnt leave a blank hole in the site.
It's not a perfect fix by any means but it does mean that at least I don't have to keep updating it every time I change the gallery.
I am just learning Adobe Character Animator and I'd like to add the animations to my Storyline 360 projects. Ultimately, I'd like to start using After Effects and Illustrator (after I learn those programs) in conjunction with my animations.
However, I am already experiencing a problem. Every time I use Adobe Media Encoder to publish a Character Animator project as mp4 or QuickTime and import it to Storyline, the background comes out as black. I tried to import as both a video file and as a web object with the same result. There seems to be a background function in Character Animator (image below), but no matter what I try, the Storyline image still has a black background.
Someone suggested to me that there is no way to remove the black background on a Character Animator project for import to Storyline 360, but I find it hard to believe something so simple is impossible to do.
Every one returns a black background when I try to import to SL 360. I tend to think the issue is in Storyline because every format returns the same background even when I specify a transparent background.
UPDATE: I figured it out! If anyone is interested, I pasted the link below of the video I used to figure out how to change the background. Once the Character Animator was washed through Camtasia, I published it and then imported the MP4 into Storyline 360. Now the background is gone!
I have done everything according to the videos trying to remove the virtual background. I've gone to settings, in meeting advance, virtual backgrounds, and turned it off. I've even reset it. That is supposed to remove the uploaded picture from the system altogether....and it's still on there. The videos are old that they sent me in the chat. It says there is a button to choose "none." On mine it is a button - turn virtual backgrounds on or off. I've logged out and then back in again....it's still on. Every option in the chat doesn't pertain - any thoughts?
Thank you. I finally figured I had to be in the meeting to change it. Prior to that, I was trying to change it in the settings outside of a meeting. Then, when I tested it, it still had the virtual background. I appreciate your time.
I have the same problem. I have a virtual background that is not even in the list of Zoom backgrounds and I can't remove it. If I click None, I always return to a beach scenario, but I can't remove it. I can switch to other backgrounds and back to None an there's always the beach, that I just can't get rid of. I tried every suggested solution outside and during a meeting, even unistalled and reinstalled Zoom.
Any ideas?? I'm desperate.
It has been a long time and I was very desperate to find an answer so I hope I remember correctly. Really none of the comments from others helped, but I was very appreciative they took the time to try and help. When I started going into every option, if I remember correctly, NO answer worked by going into settings for the whole Zoom or off of my home page. That's when I started a meeting I had scheduled, then looked at the options at the bottom - this worked. I went into settings on the opened meeting, then into the background and effects option. I believe that's when I was able to turn off the background. It worked from that point forward on all my meetings. Hope this helps you.
The ability to use background blur and background removal depends on your computer's processor. Please check it here: Zoom Virtual Background system requirements. You can use a green screen to accomplish this. Additionally, for the cleanest results, use a solid color in the background.

Hi,
I opened a file I had worked on in the past and when I create a new text object, it has an orange backgroound and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get rid of the background. I created a brand new file and then created a new text object in that file and it was fine, just black text. I then copy/pasted that into the other document and it was fine but when I created another new text object (using the Artistic text tool) it still had an orange background. Here's a screenshot of my workspace.
Hi Walt,
Thank you for your response, but that isn't the problem. Sorry if I did not explain myself well enough, I included the screnshot to hopefully show the issue. The text object in the bottom left is selected and in the Character panel, it says there is no background. If I change this to have a light blue background (see image below) then the background is bigger then the text. If I then remove the background, it then goes back to having the orange colour behind the text, but the 2 backgrounds are diferent sizes. The weird orange background i cant change only covers to the edges of the text but the background from the Character panel is bigger then the text (has padding).
Thank you Wosven,
I do also have publisher but opening the file in that did not seem to help, it also was saying that the text object did not have a background (even though there is orange being the text). However using the reset button as you suggested has at least removed everything so I can start fresh with the object, which will have to do.
Strange thing: In my standard page format template I inserted a custom background-image for testing. After testing was finished I applied colour None to the page format template and deleted this background-image from my disk.
@mariosv: background images are not listed in the navigator; is this intended design? I think so because the image has no unique location (repeated on every page) and cannot be jumped to unambiguously.
The background is most easily removed in a program like Photoshop or GIMP, then the resulting image needs to be saved as a PNG file, opened in a program like Illustrator or Inkscape, and then Auto-traced to create the cut line around it. Once the cut line is created, you can save the file as an SVG with the image file embedded in it, and you will have all of the components included that you need.
