How to deactive an account, so that they no longer login and receive new message/notification?

Hi,
We implement integration between our existing system with Tinode by Basic:Rest auth. Everything great, but there is one issue. We want when 1 user in our system is inactivated, then they no longer login, and receive new message, notification. Is there api to inactive that user by using root account?
How can we achieve it, thanks.
