How to get the last message in a conversation

Hello, currently private comments are shown at the top of the chats a user is subscribed to (see the attached picture).

Is there a way to display the last conversation instead? #fyi,Telegram has this feature.

Either you or I misunderstand something. The red arrows indicate last messages in conversations:

I think the messages are not visible upfront; they only appear after the initial interaction. As you can see in the image below, the message from "Tino the Chatbot" exists, but it only shows up when I open the chat. I am running both the web and api locally from the master branch.

Yes, messages are not loaded on the application first start. Then they are kept in sync and updated.
