Half of the game is compressed and the other half looks like an eldrich horror, even when using the correct pallete.

I have been looking into this. I guess you refer to files with extensions .ntfp and .ntft. Given that these files has no format, they are just raw data, Tinke cannot be sure about their file type. That is, in this games most palettes with extension .ntfp are not palettes but compressed files. So, if you see a file .nftp with a file size less than 512 it's probably compressed. You can check that by looking at the first two bytes, if it is 10 00, then the file should be compressed.

To decompress a file select it and click on Open as... -> Compress. The offset value should be 0 so just click the Accept button. I have seen also some .ntft files that are compressed too.
