I am using the Poly Voyager 6200 UC, when the phone rings it rings on my phone and desktop apps at the same time. When I am a backup to the receptionist and a phone comes through, when I answer using my headset it goes to my mobile app and the pop out dialpad disappears on the desktop app. When a call comes straight to my extension or is transferred to me, when I answer from my headset the pop out dialpad on the desktop app stays there. I need the pop out dialpad on the desktop to be there so I can transfer calls. How do I stop it from going away?
But I have to ask, why not look to dump the dialpad deployment for a truly enterprise product? Even Integra has a 100% QoS enabled Broadsoft Hosted VoIP solution. I would not necessarily recommend that solution, but if you under contract for a while you might want to review it. There are literally dozens of established VoIP solutions on the marketplace - and no matter what the marketing collateral states, they are not a major player in the VoIP space. We provision hosted and other VoIP solutions all over the world and as Brandon says - they are "... a speck of dust in market share..."
So instead of trying to make the dialpad work, I'd suggest an audit of your current environment. If in a position to migrate ISP's at your HQ and other sites, it would be easy and probably less expensive to move your network from an internet only topology to a fully meshed MPLS network - which allows for QoS across your WAN and out to the PSTN. We do that all day long for Spice and other IT pros.
