i'm trying to get into salesforce, marketing background with 2.5 years experience but little to no CRM actual experience. I came across this certificate on Coursera but wondering about how different it is comparing to the free modules provided by Saleforce's Trailhead?
I have recently completed a suite of 4 courses created by Macquarie University through Coursera.com. After completion, I was able to download a certificate file. It's a PDF. I would love to be able to have visitors to my profile see this certificate, as it provides useful proof that I have the Excel skills I'm claiming to have. Is there any way this can be done? I note that I cannot post a link in my profile, so even though I have a functional link to the certificate on the Coursera website, I can't link to it.
Only validated certifications can be added under the "Certifications" section of your profile. Please note that you can suggest your certification by clicking on the "Suggest this certification" link so that it goes to the team's queue as shown in this screenshot. You can, however, use your portfolio or overview to add a certificate you have provided there is no contact information in it. Hi, Annie. Thank you for the response. I want to be clear, I am talking about a certificate, not a certification. Very different topics. A certification is a license to use a specific job title. A certificate in this case is proof that a certain learning program has been completed. It is more like a college degree, but from a private company rather than a college. I do have it listed under my education, but putting it there doesn't actually prove that I have it. The PDF Coursera provided is intended to prove that I have completed the program.

I am unable to sign in to a free course I enrolled in after cancelling the one I wrongly subscribed for. In the course of registration for the first course, I was asked for an ID verification to enable me get a certificate at the end of the course and I provided a snapshot of the front and back of my Permanent Residency Visa including an uploaded photograph from my gallery. Please is this procedure a requirement to register for Coursera courses? I hope my personal information is secure. I also want to indicate that immediately after I supplied my ID card information, that page closed and I could not generate a password which was the next step on that page. I have not been able to sign in or login for the courses. i need your help. Thank you.
How much on average (or a range) do you have to pay for certificates when you take free courses? Are you required to go back and do additional assessments within the course to get the certificate if you were only auditing the course?

Hello! I enrolled in a course for free without a certificate. The course duration is 11 weeks but I can only see week 1 in the sidebar. Would I be able to access week 2 after completing week 1 assignments or I have access to only week 1 of course?

A Coursera Plus subscription giving full certified access to 90% of the Coursera catalog is $399 per year. With a subscription you can take as many different courses as you like and earn certificates for all of them.
Hi Desire, you can complete any course for free on Coursera, but you have to actually purchase the course to receive the certificate. Also, if you have completed a course within the 7 day trail period, payment will be taken in order to release the certificate.

As for tests prior to certificate, different professional certificate/specialization courses have different requirements but all do have some kind of threshold for passing the course. It is worth noting that not all professional certificates are included in the Coursera Plus subscription. So maybe open an account with Coursera (which is completely free) and make sure you check that the professional certificates you are interested in are part of the Coursera Plus plan. Hope this helps!
