Nightmares on Wax was originally formed in 1988 by George Evelyn as a group project with John Halnon. After the first album in 1991 titled: A Word of Science: The First and Final Chapter, Kevin Harper left the group to pursue DJing. Nightmares on Wax, D.J E.A.S.E, or George Evelyn is the sole producer now, which used to be a group consisting of Evelyn and John Halnon, and later with Kevin Harper. Every album since 1991 has been released on Warp Records. In 2005, Evelyn started his own label called Wax On. Evelyn currently has 8 studio albums and counting. Fans typically argue Smoker's Delight, Carboot Soul, or In A Space outta sound as his best, but everything he puts out is great imo. I've listened to his newest 2018 album multiple times, and I still love it. He's a goddamn legend. I'm partial to Carboot Soul easily, Smoker's Delight is definitely more geared towards smoker as the title suggests. His Albums in order go like this: A Word of Science: The First and Final Chapter in 1991, Smoker's Delight in 1995, Carboot Soul in 1999, Mind Elevation in 2002, In A Space Out of Sound in 2006, Thought So in 2008, Feelin' Good in 2013, and Shape The Future in 2018.
