I got a new UPS not long ago, and installed it's software (upsilon 2000) and driver. the software installs a battery driver for the UPS so I can use windows power plans settings to control what happens on power failure and etc.Since then I found out my GPU is somehow clashing with the battery driver.
It is a very long story- but after a few weeks that everything is working normally, all of the sudden windows reported that my GPU is malfunctioning and disabled it. after much research I found that users reported this issue usually on laptops due to some connection to the battery, and solved it by fixing something with the battery. this hit home because the newly installed UPS and battery-driver installed. I disabled the battery device/driver from the device manager, reboot, and the GPU starts working again.It is important to state that the issue did not occur during a power failure or any UPS/battery communication error (at least not a visible one)
I'd like to enable the battery driver back again, However I would like to figure out first what is the connection between the GPU and battery and why they are interfering with each other. hopefully this will lead to a permanent solution that will not have my GPU disabled again by windows.
I had the very same problem after installing UpSilon 2000. After reboot, my graphics card (Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 on Win10 64Bit PC) stopped working, and graphics processing defaulted to a crude Microsoft generic driver.
Then I disabled the Mega Battery driver on the Device Manager and rebooted. Full operation of the graphics card was restored. UPS stopping must now be set to "Use UPSilon to stop". i.e. not via the computer's ACPI.
I found the drivers list with, "Various" "ups" "2" "(Various USB)" "UPSilon 2000 software" "blazer_usb langid_fix=0x409" and a little web search pointed to have the configuration like this and it connected.

Modernizing the old UPSilon 2000 application was a daunting task my first thought was to read the serial output but unfortunately the UPS is listed as a HID device and not a simple COM port. So I went down the rabbit hole of trying to communicate with hid devices which have strict security to combat keyloggers. I tried to use kernel32 and the create file read and write file methods but I got access denied. Looking closer I could read some of the inputs of the ups hid device but it was going to take too long to figure out direct communication to the ups without an SDK or a good example app using USB HID to communicate with a UPS.
So after finding this info I was able to build a C# app that works in conjunction with UPSilon 2000 but the C# app offers more flexibility such as remote messaging via Telegram or forwarding the stats to a webserver for remote viewing.

The NUT website does NOT list the Green Cell UPS 600VA as a supported device. Nevertheless, for Windows machines, the UPS manual advices to download a device driver from megatec. if your getting a UPS then you have a pretty critical system happening. which means you arnt going to be fussed by paying an extra couple of hundred to make sure you system actually DOES stay up. wouldnt touch it imo.

Bad Electrical system - Yes. But not always cheap. Aldi don't make junk devices at junk price. their build quality/function is very decent, since it's normally a rebranding.
Has anyone been able to install UPSilon 2000 monitoring software for the Aldi UPS?
Mine keeps coming up with "The CD Key Is Invalid" when trying to install, I've tried both the code on CD sleeve and serial # of the UPS but nothing works.
Bought 2 units and its the same with both of them.
