TheDreamStation 2 Auto CPAP Advanced by Philips Respironics is designed to provide operational efficiencies and a simplified user experience, including flexible setup, a fully integrated humidifier and modem, advanced comfort features and patient management tools. This in turn helps to provide the best possible Sleep Apnea therapy experience.

The main difference between these two CPAP machines is that the DreamStation 2 has the integrated humidifier. In the past, original DreamStation users that wanted a humidified option for their CPAP therapy had to purchase a separate optional add-on. With the DreamStation 2 CPAP, it already comes with a humidification system integrated right out of the box.

The DreamStation 2 as it consists of even more advanced features than before. It is lighter and more compact than the previous model without compromising on important features of its predecessor. Updated features include allowing you to make changes to your sleep therapy in real-time and you experience the change in settings as it happens. This helps the user to fine tune their settings in fine detail and to their exact preference.

Yes it can. If you are not too concerned about humidified therapy or view it as a must-have option, then the DreamStation 2 CPAP will still be usable and cater for your needs. The machine itself will continue to disperse dry air into your mask. However, if you are in an already humid environment, you may find that humidification is not even necessary at all.

Try to wash your gray plastic filter at least once a week by running tap water through the white media and then shake the filter to remove as much water as possible and allow it to air dry completely before using it again. You must also inspect the disposable blue filter at least once a week and discard it if dirty. Time frames are dependent on your environmental surroundings so if you live in a pollen filled or dusty area, this may have to be done more frequently or as you see fit by inspecting the condition of the filters.

Yes it does. The Auto Adjusting algorithm of the DreamStation 2 Auto CPAP works by sensing the user's breathing patterns and behavior and by monitoring each breath, will automatically adjust the pressure setting to ensure the lowest possible effective pressure for the user as per requirement.

Yes it does. And not only that, It also supports the lightest, most flexible heated tubing ever made by Philips Respironics. DreamStation 2 Heated Tubing delivers a precise, preferred level of humidity, regardless of ambient temperatures and humidity levels, while also protecting against CPAP rainout at the same time.

Yes. Lofta highly recommends this. Please ensure that you refill your humidification chamber daily with the highest quality distilled water available. The same concept applies whether it's for humidifying or for cleaning. Lofta cannot stress enough that you must never reuse the water in the chamber, as it can possibly breed bacteria and other microorganisms that could make you very ill.

There are multiple ways of doing this but we recommend air drying for the best results. You can also run the CPAP machine without any water in the water chamber for a few minutes until it is dry. Make sure to turn off your humidity setting when doing so.
