Toaccess your Zoho Mail account on other third-party applications, you'll need to generate and use an app password. An app password is a long 16 digit randomly generated code that gives a non-Zoho app permission to access your Zoho Mail account.

Note: You have to make sure that two-factor authentication is enabled on the Zoho Mail account, then only you can generate the application-specific password. Follow the steps to generate an app-specific password:

Note: If you are using SysInfo Zoho Backup Tool, then you will have to enter the Zoho Mail account email address and third-party app password to sign in. Thus use the created app password at the required field.

I have my own domain, lets say it is mydomain.com and with that domain I have setup Zoho mail, because it is free up to five addresses. I am trying to create SMTP_CONNECTION_URI for this firebase extesion, but it always fails on smtp authentification.

The issue was, that I was testing it from emulator. When setting up an emulator it asks for a password, but it puts the password inside firestore-send-email.secret.local and the passowrd is not being used. Solution is to put the passowrd inside firestore-send-email.env to variable as this SMTP_PASSWORD=mypass
