After entering the serial # for my laptop on hp.com, no Windows 10 drivers are offered for the JMicron Media Card Reader. I used the one for Windows 8.1 (sp57014) with no errors, but has a later driver been released?

To get the latest driver, including Windows 11 drivers, you can choose from the above list of most popular JMicron downloads. Click the "Download driver" button next to the matching model name. After you complete your download, move on to Step 2.

download driver jmicron

Download Zip ✸✸✸ https://t.co/Byrz6ySzSL

If your driver is not listed and you know the model name or number of your JMicron device, you can use it to search our driver archive for your JMicron device model. Simply type the model name and/or number into the search box and click the Search button. You may see different versions in the results. Choose the best match for your PC and operating system.

Once you download your new driver, then you need to install it. To install a driver in Windows, you will need to use a built-in utility called Device Manager. It allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.

If you are having trouble installing your driver, you should use the Driver Update Utility for JMicron. It is a software utility that automatically finds, downloads and installs the right driver for your system. You can even backup your drivers before making any changes, and revert back in case there were any problems. You can safely update all of your drivers in just a few clicks. Once you download and run the utility, it will scan for out-of-date or missing drivers:

I think this is all driver related. Gargoyle GUI lists the Jmicron enclosure as generic. It shows differently to the other properly working drives. No exact drive model number for example. Just as with hdparm, this drive isn't being read properly and has missing much information. Amazing that it actually works at all.

If you could not find the exact driver for your hardware device or you aren't sure which driver is right one, we have a program that will detect your hardware specifications and identify the correct driver for your needs. Please click here to download.

Hi, finally I found this great forum that help me with many drivers that I use under XP and my new Asus Z87 deluxe-dual mobo !
Now I found a big problem in win 8.1 last Update. I HAve some old IDE hard Discks and I bought a PCI-IDE card for my mobo. IS a JMB36X card and on my old win 7 I had no problem. Also with win 8.1 there are no problem , but with the new update my JMB36X card stall my system when I try to copy big file on my IDE HArd Disks. Before the win 8.1 last update I have no problem at all.
I use the last 1.17.65.11 Jmicron driver.
Sometime the first file I copy, when I turn on the system , the copy is successful. But if I try to copy another time the system stall for about 6-8 seconds and the files copy stop. The system continues to be stalled for 6-8 seconds and the goes well for about 6-8 seconds. And so on ! The only thing to do is to reboot the system or, seeing I have IDE removable disks , I must cut off the power to the IDE disk and the system goes well.
I think that this problem due to driver, It is possible for you ?

If your JMicron JMB36x Controller is running in RAID mode, you will not be able to replace the JMicron driver by an MS IDE driver.
Nevertheless you may check according to my last post, if any device is compatible with the currently running "JMicron JMB36X Controller".

This verifies, that the JMicron Controller is running in AHCI mode.
That is why the Device Manager has offered the MS Standard AHCI Controller as compatible device.
Nevertheless I do not understand, why your connected HDD and Optical Drive has not been detected by the MS AHCI driver.
You probably have to stick with the JMicron driver.
Alternatively you may do a Google search for another driver for the JMicron SATA Controller "DEV_2363&CC_0106".

The problem is, that the latest JMB36x SATA driver is dated 09/17/2012 and not at all customized for a full support of Windows 8.1.
So there are at least 3 options for you:
a) contact the JMicron Support and ask for a JMB36x SATA driver, which fully supports Win8.1 (this is probably the most unpromising option),
b) return to Windows 7,
c) remove your JMicron SATA adapter and your IDE HDDs and buy a SATA HDD/SSD.

Anyhow, being one who does not like error messages of any kind, I called Gateway yesterday. Actually, I used the CHAT feature. The first person I dealt with told me to update the chipset driver. I tried that and cannot honestly say whether it updated anything or not. I don't even know if it NEEDED updating in the first place. At any event, the message still appears.

The jmicron SATA-II controller works with the linux ahci driver.
the problem is once I boot any other linux CD except the SysRescCD, the raid array suddenly breaks for all (including the bios and sysresccd) until I power cycle the machine.

and want to be able to use the card as a boot device to boot windows, and to avoid using my onboard sata controller. bios is able to see the card and drive, but windows after using the drivers still error out.

I have an Icy Box IB-1816M-C31 USB 3.1 Gen 2 enclosure containing a 512GB Samsung 950 Pro NVMe SSD, for which Scanner cannot read the SMART data. This enclosure uses a JMicron JMS583 USB-NVMe bridge, and shows up as a UASP device using the ASUS UAS Storage Driver (removing this driver and using the default driver, which takes it out of UASP mode, doesn't change anything).

I'm running StableBit Scanner 2.5.4.3216. I've also had to change the driver I'm using back to the default Windows (non-UASP) driver, as the ASUS UAS Storage Driver seems to be a bit buggy, but this hasn't changed the lack of health data. With the ASUS UAS Storage Driver, attempting to do a surface scan causes the drive to stop responding after completing 5% (read speed drops to 0 in Task Manager, but the disk remains 100% active), and it'll never pass that point even after stopping and restarting the scan. Switching back to using the default Windows driver (USB Mass Storage Device) allows the entire disk to be scanned without problems.

The JMicron PCIe-to-SATA II/IDE RAID Controller Driver enables users to manage their data storage devices effectively with user-friendly software. With this driver, customers can render their systems more reliable, scalable and cost-efficient, especially when using multiple SATA drives in a RAID configuration. The controller driver also allows for high-speed, secure transmission of data between the host system and SATA devices.

If the driver fails to detect hardware, you can try checking if the device is properly connected, rebooting the system, or manually updating the driver through Device Manager. If drivers cannot be installed due to conflicting software, try uninstalling any competing software and rebooting the system before attempting installation again. In case of system instability or crashes caused by the driver installation, try booting in Safe Mode and uninstalling any previously installed drivers.
