Sat Oct 24
Dear northern suburbs friends of Friends of the
Earth, hope you can make this event ... and please circulate
...
Community BBQ in
Batman
Batman
Park
Saturday October
24th from 12 noon
Come along with friends and
family to Batman Park for some truthful discussion on Labor's push to
expand the nuclear industry in Australia.
Martin Ferguson is the
federal member for Batman and the Minister for Resources and Energy. Mr
Ferguson is also responsible for radioactive waste management and in the
near future he will announce plans to dump nuclear waste on Aboriginal
land in the NT. He has failed to repeal the
blatantly racist Commonwealth Radioactive Waste Management Act as
promised by the Labor Party before the 2007 election.
We are
encouraging open discussion and debate on these issues (and others,
including Ferguson's promotion of coal, aluminium and other
greenhouse-intensive industries) within the Batman
Electorate.
Become apart of the fight against nuclear power and
join Friends of the Earth's Anti Nuclear and Clean Energy collective and
other Batman residents at:
BATMAN PARK SATURDAY OCTOBER 24th
from 12 noon BBQ, face painting, games, music, informal discussion
and more ...
