Pam, I love Tympani.  It has made DnD even more fun!  Thanks for making this tool.  I have encountered a problem when entering new spells into spellD.  There are many new druid spells per the masters of the wild book.  I've added them into spellD but when I click the button at the top to populate the spellbookD it gives me "error calculating caster level".  I've looked through the macros, trying to identify where the error is occurring but can't seem to make headway.  I'm using Excel for Mac:2011 and previously was using Excel for Mac:2006.  I've been unable to test the changes on excel for 2006 as that program is no longer supported on intel architecture for macs.  Is this a mac problem, an excel 2011 problem, or both?  I've attached my tympani workbook in case others want to see if they get the same error/help me identify what I did wrong (I'm bracing for the inevitable "you got a mac" response).

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your kind comments about Timpani. Your workbook didn't come through -- either you forgot to attach it, or it may have been blocked by the group. Could you try sending it to me directly (tim...@dndtools.com)?

I develop Timpani on Macs, so that's not intrinsically the problem. I haven't yet tried it on Excel 2011 specifically, though. I'll see if I can get access to a copy if needed.

Cheers,
- Pam

Hi Daniel,

I wanted to let you know that I haven't been able to track down your problem yet, but I haven't forgotten about it either. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Looking more at the SpellD sheet, I'm noting that there's a comment next to the Spell Level Counters area stating that those values are "copied downward by apply changes."  Maybe I goofed by adding stuff to those columns.  I'll try on a fresh sheet.

Hmm... gave it a shot on a fresh sheet.  Doesn't look like it will work.  Even without pasting new spells in I get the same error when clicking the Apply Changes button.
