If every bit of a bus is Z (Hi-Z or tristate), then VCD abbreviates it as follows:

bz <sigID>

where <sigID> is the signal ID, often a single character.

TimingAnalyzer version 0.982 is not converting this correctly. Instead of all bits being Z, it only converts bit0 as Z. The rest of the bits are 0.

BTW, the same issue occurs with X. Instead of all bits being X, TA is only converting bit0 to X; the rest of them are 0.

Hi Ed,

I will fix that one.   If you send me the VCD files,  that would help.

Thanks, Dan

Ed,

I don't have any vcd files with buses so it would be a big help if you can send me at least one to look at.

Thanks, Dan

No problem, here you go. The two buses to observe are named 'm_data' and 'mrdata_i_r'.
