Integrate with Prototype or jQuery?

Anyone out there have any success integrating this with Prototype or
jQuery? Have an existing Prototype-enabled site, so adding Fleegix on
top of that won't be an option, unless I can figure out: a) how to get
Fleegix to play nicely with Prototype, and b) how to get timezone-js
to use the Fleegix $() instead of the Prototype $().
There's some comment in the README about "define your own transport in
the loadZoneFile method," but no further explanation about what the
transport must do. Is there an interface spec somewhere?

My fork has the integration to jQuery. Waiting for pull requests to be approved by mde.
