PLEASE HELP!!

This morning, opened TimeSlice to discover all data gone, no Windows.

Restarted. Restored TimeSlice from TimeMachine.

Tried to restore the database [TimeSlice...sqlite files] via TimeMachine from yesterday - when, as always, TimeSlice worked fine. But there is still no data!

Mac 10.9.5
TimeSlice 4.7.6 bought via iTunes

That’s odd, suddenly disappearing.

Make sure you are pointing to the database as shown in the Preferences screenshot below.

Some people set the database location to somewhere else — see Help screenshot below.

Good luck!

Glorioski! I copied all three of the sqlite files from TimeMachine, picked a different time the day before yesterday, kept TimeSlice open, and it found the new (old) data files.

Q1 What would be different if I had checked off the Full-sync or the Copy the Database options?

Q2 Not to mention ... I have NO idea why all the data suddenly disappeared. I did nothing interesting yesterday, all day.

Thanks

Glad it worked!

Q1 should be self-explainatory from the preference window wording, is it not?  A copy is like a back up of the database, and full-sync, Apple says, is slower but safer, as possibly safer to recover from a crash?  Or safer when writing?  Only Apple knows for sure.

Q2 makes two of us.
