I keep getting an error saying "Timelines is not valid"

I keep getting this error. How can I fix it?

The error "Timelines is not valid?” I’m not too sure, but you may have a time record that has invalid time values.  Maybe you can do a visual scan of your time records for any date or time values that seem obviously wrong, or sort by date / time, something like that.  Once you find the offending time record, delete it or correct it to get rid of the error.

Is it possible that it's a corrupted preference file or a file in the Application Support folder. I had a crash and am rebuilding from a backup.

That’s possible.  You could delete (or more to the desktop) the folder shown below.  I suggest exporting the data first.
