If you’re upgrading from the older serial number TimeSlice to the App Store TimeSlice, you may have to transfer your data and preferences.  This is because apps from the App Store are “sandboxed” meaning they live in their own container.

Transfer your TimeSlice data file from the older TimeSlice to the new:
1. Start the old TimeSlice.  Click the Reveal Database File buttons as shown below. Quit TimeSlice.
2. Start the App Store TimeSlice.   Click the Reveal Database File buttons as shown below. Quit TimeSlice.
3. Now you should have two folders open.  Copy the files that start with (TimeSlice.sqlite) from step #1 to step #2.
4. Archive then delete the old TimeSlice.
5. Transfer the preferences file as described below (optional).

Transfer your preferences (optional):
Below are two images.  The top shows the location of the older TimeSlice preference file.  The 2nd shows the location of the App Store TimeSlice preference file.
1. Copy the older TimeSlice preference file (com.modesittsoftware.TimeSlice4.plist) to the desktop or elsewhere.
2. Rename the file to (com.modesittsoftware.TimeSliceAppStore.plist).
3. Move the renamed file to the location shown in the 2nd image.
NOTES:
- TimeSlice must not be running when you do this.
- To open the Library folder, hold down the Option key and select Library under the Finder’s Go menu.

Thank you.
