Bruce,
Try creating a new record template in the New Records in the Control Panel as shown below.
More info is in the TimeSlice Help.

I just updated from TimeSlice 4.1.7 to the newest version 4.7.5 and when I am in a project or client folder and want to create a new entry it does not duplicate the previous record, categories etc like it did in version 4.1.7. Is there someone to set this in the prefs, or how can I do this like the older version?

1. Create a New Record template.
2. Set the Value to “Copy Values."
3. Enable the desired Copy Values
4. Enable the box “Use this template when starting a new time record.”

Now the new time record copies the attributes of your selected existing time record.

thanks but that's not the problem...

i can create a whole new entry...and i have checked help. maybe i'm not looking in the right place.

what is not working is within an existing job...with all the tags set...like client and hourly rate and task...

used to be you could click on the original entry, select it  and hit "new" and the start of the clock would use all the same info, just start a new record in the same job...now it doesn't allow that. it doesn't recognize the original. and you don't really want it duplicated because the time would all have to be changed.

as shown below...the hourly rate, client, task and project don't recognize the previous entry within the job...this worked in the old program...
