Restoring from backup - second question!

I have restored the sqlite file as it seemed to make sense. However,
it has only restored the old data up to 2011. But I had data up to and
including 2015.
Where else might this data be?
I should explain that I obviously make a mistake when I update
Timeslice. I suppose that I need to manually delete the old one before
I instal the new. Thus, every time I restart the computer several
windows open, not just the current file (this contains dozens of time
records for small jobs) but also the old file. This confuses me and I
