The mini window (attached file Screenshot 2015-08-27 13.12.36.png)  - which is the only way I know to reach my list of projects (attached file  Screenshot 2015-08-27 13.11.57.png) - sometimes disappears from my desktop.

When the mini-window is gone, I cannot figure out how to get back to the window I work from (Screenshot 2015-08-27 13.11.57.png). None of the Timeslice shortcuts, windows (View), Preferences, nor the Control Panel get me there.

Today, I was lucky: I quit Timeslice, and when I restarted it, the mini window reappeared on my desktop.

Yesterday, none of that worked - and my data file went missing at the same time. I was able to use Apple Time Machine to replace the sqlite files in the TimeSlice target folder.

Working on a Macbook Air OS 10.9.5 with Timeslice 4,7.6 (21).

Can you help me find a better system for accessing my Timeslide data??

To access your list of projects, select Control Panel -> Jobs as shown in the screenshot below.

To access your list of windows, select Control Panel -> Windows -> Windows as shown in the screenshot below.

Not sure why your data was suddenly missing.  Also not sure I understand what " find a better system for accessing my Timeslide data” means.  Have you considered making a copy of it for backup purposes?

Nope … Control Panel> Jobs does not bring me to the window that I want to reach.

Can you please tell me how to get to this screen if the mini window goes away?

The window I WANT to reach is my active list of folders and subfolders that shows how many minutes I’ve expended on each job. See the folders in the sidebar - each has a project and the hours expended week by week:

BUT the “Jobs” window gets me to this:

The Control Panel>Windows link gets me this, without any detail and without folders showing:

Thanks

Double-click the window labeled “New Window” shown in your screenshot of the Windows list in the Control Panel.
