I've been trying to do an export to a QB IIF file and the little spinning thing on the bottom left of the export window keeps spinning and no file gets generated.

Any ideas?

TIA

I just tried, and it exported fine.  Please restart your Mac as that often helps.

If not, try exporting as shown below, no filtering of any sort.  Then slowly add whatever filtering you need.  My guess is one of the time records may contain invalid data.

Thanks, that got it working. Now I just have to figure out if it will do what I need to do in QB. Just found out that it won't import into QB Mac. I'm not sure if it will import into QB online and what that looks like.

Thanks again!

Unfortunately QB Mac doesn’t allow importing of IIF files as their QB Windows does.  Not sure about QB online.  Hope that works for you.

I have used Quiff to convert my IIF files into a format that QB Mac will import. Its pretty simple and works very well, every time. You can find it in the Apple App store ($10); following is a link that might work:

Hi Mark,

I had no idea any app other than Intuit’s app could create a file that QB Mac would import.  I talked to Intuit many times, and while they said they’d open the import to 3rd party apps, they never did (until now maybe).

Thanks for the post!
