I'm not sure how clearly you can see this, but, whilst we were sitting having our glass of wine, this beautiful butterfly landed just in front of us. It was so unusual, as we have hardly seen any butterflies this summer - quite enchanting!

That is beautiful Jeannie.  I have seen some like that around here.  There have been a lot more butterflies hereabouts this year- lots of Cabbage Whites and some kind of smaller Blue butterflies. I suppose the weather has been right somehow, although I am not much of an expert when it comes to this kind of thing.
Our local Council, plus an Eco organisation (called Carbon Cutters), have put in some Butterfly-friendly gardens both in the Town Centre and in the local public  'Meadows' by the river.  They have been a treat to see.
The glass of wine sounds good, obviously your local weather this evening was warm enough to sit out in.  I, too, treated myself to a glass of Pimm's when I came back from Oxford...it was a bit cooler in my garden than in the town.  It would have been nice to have company though...but we cannot have everything.!!
