Sorry Glen, my misunderstanding. When there was talk of transferring over I thought it was you who said that you had a page and were thinking of closing it...because of privacy and were thinking of  joining the abfab one but have not got there yet. Ido not know if you have a page or not but from what you have just posted  you have/ had a link. I don't look and only came on here to see if you were still around and not alone. I won't be using this site and only get digests if anyone does as others do.

Cally I was never on the other FB page!!!!!!. So how I got there I do not
know. Afraid it further convinces me that Fb seems to plaster one's
profile where ever it wants to, what ever the owner of that page wants!!!!
I am plelased that the lovely Fran emails me every so often to see how I am
    getting on.

Still not with you guys. I have managed to temporarily 'suspend' my
current Facebook profile. Phew...a voyage of discovery and I am pretty
clued-up computer-wise. I would like to delete it completely but that
involves a tortuous process and contacting FB. Once they have
    you......????!!!!!

I have been busy and not had enough time to go through the laborious
process of getting another email address and comimg back on to FB with no
    profile content...and possibly a pseudonym.
No, I don't think that the 'thought police' are after me, I am not on the
Criminal 'wanted' list, nor am I paranoid.!!!! I just do not want to
'available' in the Public Domain. No-one is going to get me onto Twitter
    or Instagram or anything else.

However, once I have time to sit at the computer and go through the new
email and FB profoile creation, process I will be ba
    back with you.

I am stll checking in to this site Shaun....just to see if there are any
    messages.

Hi Cally
Thanks for the message.
Well yes, I didn't think that anyone was still using this site so I myself haven't checked in here for a while. I didn't realise that people still received digests.
You will see from my other post that I do still intend to join the abfabbers but have yet to find the time to do the necessary setting up. Have had lots of ongoing problems with my house to sort out.
I may be off to Scotland next week with my son and family....depends on the weather and how manic his work life is.  So, I think that I will get down to 'the joining process' thereafter.  I do also need a bit of help from him regarding a few computer glitches.  So, hopefully, folks I will be joining you all soon.  Bet there's a lot to catch up on!

Thanks Fran.  My son, as usual, left it until the last minute (ever casual!) to let me know about the arrangements. I am off to Kent for 1 night then up to Scotland (via Scunthorpe to see my sister in law), then on to Edinburgh. Hope to see my 94 year old Aunt and some  friends in Scotland whilst I am there.
Going to be a bit strange for me travelling and sharing a holiday with 'my recently expanded family'. I have been used to travelling solo everywhere.
I shall be making a special effort to get on to the Ab Fabbers group site when I return.  Give my best wishes to everyone.

Thank you both (and everyone else) for good wishes.  The occasional messages have been a real support to me lately.  I have really missed the group and will be on FB group when I return from my Northern Odyssey.
Been a bit of a dark time recently on Planet Glen but things are looking up.  Just a digest from me.
health front sometimes not good but the recent check has cheered me up since all of my blood results have returned to normal.  Knee still not great but I shall be doing something about that when I get back.....Refreshed I hope.!!!! It will be wonderful to be back in Scotland again.
Further good news which I will expand on when I 'make my return'  (sounds positively 'Arthurian' that!!).  But we have had a new 'club and spa' open up in Abingdon.  Itis attached to a mega-posh returement home.  Kind of there as an added luxury for the Residents (who don't appear much, having loads ofother luxurious retreats in the complex).  However, in order to make a bit of money and get the facilities used, they have opened it up as a club/spa for the over-55s in Abingdon.  It has a lovely gym, health spa/beautysalon, mini-cinema, and fantastic Bistro.  There are also classes for the able-bodied (separate ones for the less able Residents)  and a super library/computer room.  Annual membership for us 'outsiders'....£80 per year.!!!  Yes, as little as that.  I guess they just want us to come in and spend money on meals and drinks and in the Spa.
To be honest, the Gym is worth that alone.  I have been to a Yoga class and it was very good...excellent teacher, and I felt I was walking on air afterwards.   So....hopefully, I shall be getting back to fitness as the Spring/Summer progresses.  Three of us Nordic Walkers have joined, so it is a nice little bolthole for Glen when she is feeling fed up.!!!!!
Long may it continue.  See you all soon.Gx
